I’ve always had an intuitive mind with an empathic soul. It’s not easy being empathic…trust me! But one of the many blessings it gives is the ability to help others on an emotional level. That is what got me started in Tarot. To help guide others to the right path by giving them some direction on where to go and how to get there

History of Tarot

The tarot is believed to have originated in the mid-15th century in Italy as a type of playing card game. The earliest known tarot decks were created for the wealthy aristocracy, and they were elaborately illustrated with intricate artwork.

As the popularity of tarot spread, especially among the lower classes, the cards began to take on new meanings and associations beyond their original use as playing cards. In the 18th century, French occultists and mystics, such as Antoine Court de Gébelin and Etteilla, started to link the tarot to ancient Egyptian mysticism and the Kabbalah, a Jewish esoteric tradition. This led to the development of new tarot decks with occult symbolism and deeper esoteric meanings.

In the 19th century, during the occult revival, interest in tarot and other divination practices surged. Tarot cards became more closely associated with fortune-telling, divination, and spiritual exploration.

In contemporary times, tarot remains a popular tool for self-reflection, spiritual exploration, and divination. It has evolved beyond its historical roots and is widely used as a means of gaining insight, understanding emotions and relationships, and exploring one's life path.
